Valentine's Day Weekly ReadingIt’s Valentine’s Day!

It’s something special when it falls on a Sunday and allows us to be home all day with our loved ones. Particularly during COVID-19 times, when we all need a little reminder to be kind to one another as the stress of lockdown can get to us all.

I put together an article with some cost-effective ideas for socially-distanced outdoor dates or stay-at-home indoor date options. Check out Covid-19 Valentine’s Day Dates for Under $50.

This week’s reads are a bit of a mash-up. They include some interesting and informative articles from the past week or so.

Enjoy.

Cineplex Wants To Turn Theatres Into Vaccination Sites | Huffington Post
Cineplex has made an interesting offer, reaching out to the provincial government and offering their cinemas as potential mass vaccination sites.  Citing they can be open all day and are in familiar locations to residents, Cineplex may have a point.  Vaccination services and locations have also been offered by Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart locations, however, current plans for mass vaccination sites have already been stifled by supply shortages.

Think your Financial Independence Retire Early plans are safe and sound?  Think again!  Cut the Crap Investing points out some potential flaws in planning your early retirement and some of the possible pitfalls of relying entirely on your investments’ income generation to retire.  An interesting and thought-provoking article that may even have you re-assessing your retirement strategy.
